Hi, I'm BO

I have participated in architectural projects totaling nearly seven million square meters of built area. My primary design experience lies in the residential sector, ranging from standalone villas to unit-based apartments, and from compact studio units to luxury suites—covering a wide spectrum of housing typologies. In parallel, I have also contributed to the design of public buildings such as hotels, art galleries, cafés, convention centers, industrial tobacco factories, and technology centers, as well as multiple large-scale urban design and master planning projects. In 2024, I joined the Design Technology program at Cornell University, which enabled me to step beyond the conventional disciplinary frame of architectural design and enter a broader and more forward-looking domain of design inquiry. The program has expanded my intellectual and methodological boundaries across three dimensions: design objects, design methodologies, and the epistemology of design itself. It has allowed my practice to evolve from a focus on built architectural space toward a research framework that integrates artificial intelligence, digital fabrication, human–machine interaction, sensing systems, and robotic control. Through this program, design is no longer merely the shaping of form and space, but an interdisciplinary, cross-scalar, cross-media process of knowledge integration and innovation.
