My Architectural Design AreaAll images shown below are photographs of the completed project, not architectural renderings.

The projects presented in this section were completed during my professional architectural practice in China in collaboration with leading real estate developers and architectural design firms. Spanning a diverse range of building typologies—including sales centers, cafés, art galleries, residential developments, cultural institutions, and technology parks—these projects allowed me to engage in the entire architectural process, from conceptual design to construction and project completion. More importantly, they fundamentally shaped my understanding of the relationship between architecture and construction. Through years of architectural practice, I gradually realized that construction is not merely the execution of a completed design, but an inseparable part of the design process itself. The question of how design and construction can be fully integrated—allowing construction to inform, reshape, and ultimately become an active participant in design—has become the central focus of my research. Each completed project not only deepened my understanding of construction but also inspired new questions about how architecture is conceived, realized, and continuously refined through the act of building. Throughout these projects, I explored construction-oriented design challenges, including modular strategies for irregular façade systems, the realization of complex free-form geometries, and the integration of spatial, structural, and material systems to create coherent architectural experiences. Although these explorations emerged from professional practice, they were consistently driven by the same fundamental question: How can construction actively inform design, and how can design better respond to construction? These experiences ultimately motivated me to pursue Design Technology at Cornell University, where I began investigating how computational design, robotic fabrication, digital construction, and artificial intelligence could fundamentally redefine the relationship between design and construction. Rather than treating architecture as a sequence of independent stages, I became interested in developing integrated workflows in which design, fabrication, sensing, and intelligent decision-making operate as a unified system. This transition from architectural practice to research marked the beginning of my exploration into robotic fabrication, autonomous construction, and AI-driven design systems.

SKY CITY
2022
Revisit modern architecture, will find an interesting phenomenon, stylized overly obvious buildings are often easy to “overstay their welcome”, just as today's society must be new imitation of European architecture, there is always a sense of artifice, anachronism, today's times, all the buildings are pursuing curved space, as if simple geometric buildings are to be Today's era, all buildings are pursuing curved space, as if simple geometric buildings are going to be abandoned by the times, curves are the future, but the time for real design is still very long, in my feeling, the excessive curved space has no logic to speak of, just like Baroque and Rococo many years ago, in addition to increasing the cost and creating topics for no reason, there is not much social significance, how to build interesting space and texture with simple forms and low cost, I think this will be the responsibility of contemporary architects!
PUYUAN
2023
Architecture in China is impetuous and frivolous, the wave of real estate development has created a number of Chinese-style fast food buildings, no one is willing to think carefully about what the responsibility of the building is before doing the architectural design. Architecture is a social artwork, and it is also the artwork that can be preserved for the longest period of time, but in China, architecture is only a “token” for the capital market, which is why real estate always turns into a bubble, because it makes architecture lose its most essential core with the power of capital. I was lucky to come across the PUYUAN project, which shoulders its own goal, using spatial design to let the neighboring residents get a platform for offline communication and acquaintance. This is an experiment handed over to me by the developer, with no sales, only happiness, hoping to find the original intention of architectural design to solve the social problems!
GALACTIC LAND AGILE
2021
The skin has always been a part of architectural creativity, when I got the proposition request from the client - to design an office space related to Galaxy - I tried a variety of materials, but when the architectural design is going to be an uprooted building, there will be a lot of compromises and balances needed, not every building needs to be exaggerated and futuristic shapes Not every building needs to be exaggerated and futuristic to gain attention, small buildings just need to grab a certain point and enlarge it, and there will be unexpected surprises waiting for you. The use of perforated panels was already mature at that time, and when the building was clothed in a coat of light, it perfectly suited the client's requirements for Galaxy, and from this point of view it was a successful building.
YUEFU
2022
Housing design has always been an important branch of architectural design, but Housing design in China, because categorized in the real estate development, residential design is often compressed to the extreme, like China's largest real estate companies, once put forward the “standardized residential” design, that is, the residential design several types of YUEFU is a negative example, the client is very supportive of the design, despite the limited investment, but to the maximum extent possible to liberalize the design requirements, which also led to a very pleasant cooperation experience!
FLOWERY PARK
2024
Neo-Chinese architecture has always been one of several stylized buildings in China, and with the addition of nationalism, Neo-Chinese architecture has always been the most preferred architectural style for real estate in China, especially for villa buildings and high-grade buildings, but buildings that are too heavily stylized are very prone to fall into pretentiousness and have a limited audience, so how to extract the Chinese elements in a more refined way and use them in a modern building is the topic of the project, which can be We can see the form of flying eaves used in modern buildings, and then use the dead wood, courtyard and other elements, as well as to make the Chinese texture of modern buildings.
SMART TECHNOLOGY CITY
2021
Science and technology showroom is a rare type of building, this project is designed for JinkoSolar's Creative Park, using curved design, echoing the industrial park's research on sound and light waves. The building was designed in a modern architectural style to create a design that meets the client's requirements under strict budgetary control.
